pitching

One last night
View more presentations from harj1995.

This is our presentation the people that I was working with was Luke Shelly and Ryan Emin. We were given a film production and our film production was working title.

We had to think of a film that we would like to create and we came up with the genre of love/comedy. We had to present to the studios in our class and they had to guess who pitch was there production.

The good points of our presentation was that we did describe the plot, cost & revenue, cast and other films that had inspired us to create this film. We had a good use of color as it did match the genre of our film. In every slide we had described it throughly and effectively.

The negative points of our presentation is that we could have not given our production away to easily. We might have done that by saying the cost our production must have known we were there production.

This post is about the analysis of the zombieland.

In most of the opening sequence we can see the names of the characters that are in the film. The color of the font is red. The red color can stand out and we also know that the color red can represent blood. The color red can connote a lot of things. It can give you an idea that the film is a gory horror film straight away that can give away the genre of the film. The font is basic but it does stand out because of the color and the size. When the font goes away it looks like a mirror is shattering then it re appears and fades away the same way.

The first shot shows two men, one man pushing him over the stairs, the use of a low angle shot makes it looks like he is coming towards us. It also shows the height of the fall. The barbed wire in the background make it look like they are surrounded and cant get away. The typography that was used was red this can indicate blood or a possible horror/ zombie genre. The sound that was being used was a drum beat.

The second shot is showing a zombie spitting out blood from his mouth. The zombie and the blood can also indicate that the film is going to be horrific. The blood can tell you that some dangerous things are going to happen maybe even death. The shot is a medium shot, it shows things that are happening in the background. The typography that has been used is the same as before the color is red and the font is also the same.

In the next shot there is a woman running away from a zombie. The shot that was being used was a two shot. the The building looks like it has not been used in a long time, also there are gates next to it so that could give you an idea that the people have been trapped and have no where to go. You can tell by the woman's facial expressions that something bad is happening. The typography again was the same red color and same font but it did stand out because it was on a wall where you could see it clearly. The sound that was being used was some drums and some guitars.

Two shots after this shot there is a shot of a car being set on fire. This can straight away tell you that some zombies have come to some town and have started to cause trouble. damaging the place setting things on fire. Throughout the sequence in every shot there is blood being used.

harj alevel media

In my group I had worked with Aaron Vander, Ryan Emin and James Mills.

This is my evaluation of the above video. The video is my continuity piece in which we had to do as part as my media coursework. We included the shots of match in action, shot reverse. One negative is that we broke the 180 degree rule whilst both actors were engaging in a conversation. At one point we had the 180 degree rule was correct as one of the characters walked through the door. Another negative was that the first time we recorded the video we did not use a tripod whilst we was filming so we had to recreate the film. To improve our video we would have to focus on the 180 degree rule and not break it. A positive from video is that we had followed the shot reverse shot precisely. The location was ok as we had no particular problems with lighting, space and privacy. Another positive of the video is that video lasted atleast 40 seconds.

The things that I enjoyed about this video is acting. I also enjoyed giving my ideas across in our gorup. Everybody did contribute to there best. We all had our own job roles, Me and James acted, Ryan was the director and Aaron was the camera man. We all helped each other as it was a grouped task.
